We are are pleased to announce that Brendan Cormier has joined Office for Urbanism as a Planner and Urban Designer.
Brendan contributes to the OU team through his passion for urbanism, his extensive knowledge of global best-practices, and his ability to effectively communicate abstract urban ideas.
Brendan earned a M.Sc in European Urbanism at the Bauhaus-Universität in Weimar, Germany and worked for two studios in Holland acquiring invaluable knowledge and experience in cutting-edge Dutch urban design. Prior to that he attended Ryerson University where he obtained a Bachelor of Urban and Regional Planning and shortly thereafter completed a six-month contract working in Jamaica on a sustainable development plan for the region of Manchester.
Brendan is also an accomplished writer, having been published in several local and international publications such as Spacing Magazine and the Next American City. His written work aims to compliment his urban design work, by advocating for new urban visions and concepts that could otherwise not be represented in drawings alone.
