Office For Urbanism was retained by Metrolinx to plan and implement a full-day Design Charrette to envision the future of the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area transportation system. The Charrette was attended by over 50 local, regional, and international leading thinkers and practitioners. Participants visualized the transportation system of the future by examining the potential design of key components of the transportation system including mobility hubs, transportation corridors, as well as the design of light and heavy rail cars.
The Charrette was held on June 23, 2008 at Royal Ontario Museum and The Toronto Star was there to cover all the action.
