Bloor West Urban Design Guidelines

For the Bloor West BIA and several area residents associations, OfficeforUrbanism facilitated and designed a community vision that will provide direction for future developments in the area. Bloor West Village is one of the most successful, thriving main streets in the City of Toronto, framed by stable residential neighbourhoods and two major parks systems. Recognizing that change is inevitable, this study created an approach to development that is in keeping with the most treasured aspects of the street and the neighbourhood. OU was involved in this project since its inception, working closely with the clients and stakeholders to establish a collaborative approach to determining the future vision for Bloor West Village recognizing this popular street as a unique public amenity to the City of Toronto.
