The Environmental Design Research Association (EDRA) awarded OU the 2004 edra/PLACES Award for this graphically rich and unique plan tailored to the distinct arctic urban environment — the first Canadian project to be so awarded.
Office for Urbanism developed a language for built form, concepts for the key public areas, a pedestrianized environment, and a concept for street furniture and infrastructure that is in keeping with the sensitivities of the Artic context.
