Moncton Downtown Redevelopment Vision
Office for Urbanism was retained by the City of Moncton and Downtown Moncton Centre-Ville Inc., to develop a vision for the downtown that both reflects the viewpoints of multiple players and ensures that it is undertaken in a sustainable manner. The study included an extensive public consultation process incorporating stakeholder interviews, a symposium, and workshops culminating in a final series of public open houses.
The City is poised for significant growth and is acting proactively to ensure that development in the downtown respects the existing natural features and reflects the culture and heritage of residents. The Development Vision creates a framework the enhance quality of life downtown, and attract long-term investments.
