St. Clair Avenue Study

Office for Urbanism, as project lead, conducted the City’s 13th Avenue Study for the stretch of St. Clair Avenue West between Keele Street and Glenholme Avenue. In light of the impassioned opposition to the Toronto Transit Commission’s plan for a dedicated streetcar right-of-way on St. Clair West and the Ontario Superior Court of Justice decision to dismiss the opposition’s appeal, OU designed a public consultation process that engaged local residents and tenants, business and property owners, City staff, and interested individuals in a manner that, ultimately, generated consensus around a framework for growth, reinvestment and revitalization.
