Sunnyside Grille Open Space Master plan

At the initiation of the area Councilor, Parks and Recreation, and heritage advocates, a home has been found for the historic Joy Oil Station and an opportunity has been created for this designated building to be adapted to a new use. For the Grenadier Group, OfficeforUrbanism was retained to create a site plan for the restoration of the concession area where the Joy Station has been relocated. Building upon planning principles established earlier with respect to a strategy for renewing all of the concessions with their area (accessible to all, creating strong connections, respect for the environment, increasing use in off peak times, collaboration with the community, high quality design) OfficeforUrbanism created a site plan that integrates a new year round restaurant, public space connections, a renewed playground area and the historic Joy Oil Station.
